Aches, Pains & PoisonsASH (TREE) Habitat: oak woodlands and moist, well-drained soil
Uses: New shoots are to be eaten, and chewed and applied to the bit of an Adder or Viper to stave off the effects of its poisoned bite.
Keys (seeds) of the Ash tree may also be consumed to fight the pain caused by a stitch.

CHERVIL
Habitat: Rocky land
Uses: The leaves and roots are chewed and applied to infected wounds or provided as a treatment for bellyache.
May also be used during kitting.

COLTSFOOT
Habitat: Damp soil and the banks of streams and rivers
Uses: Leaves are chewed, then applied to cracked / sore paw pads.
Can also be used to ease breathing issues and treat kitten-cough.
COMFREY ROOTSHabitat: Damp, grassy spaces
Uses: Used in the treatment of broken bones and to soothe injuries.
May also be used to treat wrenched claws, itching or inflammation of joints.
Additional Notes: Only available along the Mudclan-Waterclan and Treeclan-Stoneclan borders
DAISY LEAVES
Habitat: Grassy areas in all territories
Uses: Chewed into a paste and used to treat aching joints.
Used as a traveling herb
DANDELION
Habitat: All terrains
Uses: Sap from the stems may be used to treat bee stings.
Leaves can be chewed to relieve pain
FENNEL
Habitat: Dry soils near the coast / along riverbanks
Uses: Sap from the stalks are used to relieve hip pain.
Additional Notes: Only available in Waterclan territory
FEVERHabitat: Along the banks of rivers and streams
Uses: Leaves can be consumed to reduce the body temperature of cats with fevers.
Used to treat aches and pains. Particularly good for headaches and stomach ailments.
May also be used to treat colds.
JUNIPERHabitat: Woodland
Uses: Berries are consumed to ease the stomach, provide strength and calm troubled cats.
Leaves are chewed to ease coughs and other respiratory problems.
Can be used to counter poisons.

LAVENDERHabitat: Sunny spots with sandy / gravelly soil
Uses: Leaves & flowers are particularly good when eaten for easing pains in head and throat.
Inhaling the scent of fresh flowers can calm the nerves.
May be used to cure fever and chills.

MALLOW LEAVES
Habitat: Near the shore
Uses: Consumed to soothe bellyache
Additional Notes: Only available southern regions of Mudclan and Waterclan territory
MARIGOLDHabitat: Near sources of fresh water
Uses: Leaves and Flowers consumed to relieve chills.
Leaves and Petals chewed and made into poultices to stop bleeding and infection.
Juice can be used to treat inflammation and stiff joints.
PARSLEYHabitat: Moist, well-drained soil, with full access to sunlight
Uses: Consumed to prevent Queens producing milk if their kits die / no longer need milk, or the queen is producing too much milk.
Used to treat bellyache.

POPPY (WILD)Habitat: Meadows, woodlands and lower mountain slopes
Uses: Seeds can be consumed to remove pain and aid in sleep or soothe shock / distress.
Flower heads should be consumed together to relive continuous coughs.
Petals and Leaves should be chewed to aid in sleep and improve resting.
Not recommended for nursing Queens

RAGWORT LEAVES
Habitat: Sand dunes
Uses: Crushed / chewed, then mixed with juniper berries to treat aching joints.
May be offered to queens to keep their strength up during kitting.

SNAKEROOT
Habitat: Woodland
Uses: Applied to wounds to treat poison.
The best remedy for snake bites.

STICKS
Habitat: All habitats
Uses: Primarily used to immobilise broken limbs whilst they heal.
May be used to distract cats from pain (by biting) if medicine is unavailable / not recommended.
Often used by Queens during kitting.
STINGING NETTLES
Habitat: Woodland and damp, rich soil
Uses: Induces vomiting.
Mixed with comfrey to treat broken bones.

TANSYHabitat: Woodland
Uses: Leaves, flowers, and Stems should be eaten together to remove worms.
Leaves may be chewed to relive joint aches.
Flowers should be consumed to cure and prevent coughs / greencough
May also be used to treat wounds and poisons, or to soothe throats.
Pregnant Queens should NEVER be given Tansy, for it causes miscarriages.

TORMENTIL
Habitat: Meadows, forests and swamps
Uses: Roots chewed and applied to injuries to extract poisons.
Can be used to treat any wound.
WATER MINTHabitat: In marshes and along the banks of rivers, streams and pools. May also grow in water.
Uses: Chewed to a pulp, then consumed to treat bellyaches.
WILLOW Habitat: Swamps and in rich river bank soil
Uses: Willow leaves may be consumed to stop vomiting.
Small amounts of Willow Bark may be consumed to ease pain, act against inflammation, and to ease diarrhoea or fevers.
Water from beneath the bark of the flowering willow may be dripped into the eyes to help clear blurriness of vision, or applied to dry patches of skin to sooth itchiness.

WINTERGREEN
Habitat: Woodland and sandy habitats
Uses: Used to treat wounds and some poisons.
Additional Notes: Only available in Treeclan and Waterclan territory
YARROWHabitat: Grassland and rocky terrain
Uses: Entire plant should be consumed to induce vomiting and treat for poisons.
Leaves chewed and made into poultice that is used to extract poisons from wounds.
May be made into an ointment to soften and heal cracked paw pads.
Can also be used as pain relief – particularly bellyache.
