Patrols and camp-chatter are all very well and good, but most of us would probably agree that these ‘themes’ can get a little boring after a while – especially if they are all that’s on offer. Official Plots are one way to get around this problem, but they take time to set up and depend heavily on active roleplaying, which itself depends on people having something interesting to write about when Official Plots aren't around. Whatever way you look at it, directionless patrols and camp-chatter probably aren’t going inspire people quite as much as they might like…but Character Plots might.
Character Plots are non-official, member-made, and broadly insular, but can also give direction to the more typical Warriors roleplay themes. They are at once impacted by Official Plots and have the ability to influence them, adding any number of extra problems to roughen the path, and, of course, they allow the building of character relationships, clan relationships, and ongoing story threads that may themselves come to interact. In effect, they are our best way of building up FS’ world before, during, after, and between Official Plots, and with luck will also help to get us all chatting and writing again.
Given the potential of Character Plots, it seems sensible to offer up a single point of reference for all those who might want to get involved in something a little more complex than patrols and camp-chatter type roleplay. This thread is to be that reference point, and is in effect a member-managed database of the storylines we would like to set up for our characters. It is not a place to discuss the details of those storylines, or to offer characters for them (these matters should be attended to in the General Chatter board, or over *PMs), but rather a catalogue of what’s available, and what’s already been taken. To this end, members are allowed only one (self-maintained) post within this thread, and should include all Character Plots, and important details pertaining to them, within that one thread.
